Cliffe End Yarns offer a complete list of services to the textile industry whatever you are requiring. From Bit Winding to Hank to Cone Winding we not only have the best machines available but we have a group of experienced staff to make sure your orders are finished to the highest standards.

All our machines have excellent measured length systems fitted to them, probably the best hand splicers in the market and are all well maintained.

Bit Winding

We have the facility to wind residue cones/small cones from leftover tufting reels back onto large cones for reuse, i.e. for whipping yarn or re-tuft.

Assembly Winding

This is where we can wind two or three single ends together prior to twisting, this can increase productivity in twisting from the older type ring twisting frames.

Cone to Cone Winding

We can split down larger cones into a set number of cones to make up a tufting creel suitable for a carpet width.

Hank to Cone Winding

This is also known as back winding yarn from a batch of dyed hanks onto a set number of required cones for a carpet width.

Reeling

We can wind large batches of Ecru yarn(undyed yarn) from cone back onto hank with five tie bands to keep the hank stable and uniform throughout the dying process, we can also re-reel dyed yarn back to hank for over or re-dyeing.

Warehousing

We can also offer to our customers a holding facility, so after we have processed the yarn we can put it into stock for call off at a later date.
